Evening everyone, We've been busy testing out the new Tracking device for pets from Tracca UK.
What is it you say? Well its a device that clips on to your collar and you pop a micro sim card inside.
(You need an active micro sim for the Tracca to work and yes you can use a Pay as you go sim card).
It was fun watching daddy try to follow the instructions to set it up. I can't write some of the words he used!!!!
But the good news is mummy spoke to the nice man at Tracca about the instructions and they are re-vamping them so they are more understandable. You won't need to use all those words like daddy did you lucky people.
When the device is set up you download the free Tracca App from Tracca UK's website. They have one for all types of phone so everyone is sorted.
This gives your owner live tracking, So if you ever go missing or wander off your owners can find you.
When mummy set up my Tracca she set up what is called a Geo fence. This meant that if I go out of a certain area her mobile phone will ring and tell her were I am.
When daddy took me for a walk he didn't know mummy had set the Geo fence. When we got home she asked him how our walk was? Daddy said it was great and we were both shattered. It seems she had tracked us to the pub, where we stayed for quite a long time. Whoops, daddy needs to change the settings or I don't get any more pork scratchings and a nice warm bed to lie on whilst daddy enjoys his pint.
The Tracca is really light and I didn't know I was wearing it, so was not bothered at all by it being on my collar.

You can zoom right into the map though and see exactly where I have disappeared too. I have heard my owners talk about dogs that have gone missing and this little device would be a boon to owners who have to find their chums.
